When you're listening to Queen Bey's 'Drunk in Love track', doesn't it give you a feeling of intensity? The best way for me to describe it?
In the beginning there's this psychedelic feeling; like your head is in the clouds. Then an angelic voice greets you -- as it slowly intertwines itself into the waves of the music, making it intrinsic.
As the merging of Beyonce's voice and music meet monotone it doesn't last for long, because the raspiness from Bey's voice begins beat building alongside the music -- until it reaches its highest cord and she belts out the orgasmic words, drunk in love.
The former Destiny's Child star displayed diversity and superb flow with her rapping skills, but she is married to legendary Hip Hop artist Jay-Z -- who also made a cameo on his wife's sexy song. The Blueprint rapper entered cocky-as-hell, spitting rhymes at his boo thang while repping heavy their bonnie and clyde motto.
In this song, you can tell, that Beyonce ain't playing, she means exactly what she says and backs it up with her sultry and seductive moves in her music video. The image of pole dancing seems to enter the brain lol. But you definitely feel the music through your body; every note extracted creates the tingles you feel all over your skin.
And the only thing left to say is, this work of art is pretty f****** amazing! Congrats to your platinum status, Mrs. Carter.

I really like this song. Video was nice too; it's so obvious though that not much creativity is allowed if the song has too much "sexy" for Jay-Z. It speaks a bit to his insecurities. IJS.. Nice writing!
ReplyDeleteSong is awesome she did a great job. However, to the above comment I agree. I would've loved to see a story line, maybe a bit more creativity, that's something I love about Bey'. Maybe Jay-Z isn't having some random piece of eye candy up it her video. I vaguely remember there being a "rumor" that she couldn't do the "Sean Paul" collab because of JAY-Z.
ReplyDeleteGreat article LA!
