Allegedly, Kobe Bryant (seen above-r) has lost 3 mansions and a sum of $75 million dollars 2 ex-wife, Vanessa Bryant (seen above left) in their divorce settlement.

The basketball couple did not have a prenuptial agreement in place during their time of marriage in 2003. So as a result,Vanessa Bryant took half of Kobe's assets.

It's been reported that Kobe Bryant gave his ex-wife what she asked 4 in the divorce settlement, so that she wouldn't find reason 2 air the NBA player's dirty laundry about their 10 year marriage.


Can you imagine how many publishers would absolutely LOVE 2 pay Vanessa Bryant a HUGE amount of money 2 write a book on their 10 year marriage?! I hope in the divorce settlement Kobe put a clause in place that would require his ex-wife 2 not speak on their marriage, because if not that leaves the gate open 2 a lot of problems.

I remember in 2003 before Kobe married his now ex-wife Vanessa, both of his parents were totally against it. Kobe's parent's felt he was 2 young and wanted him 2 wait awhile before getting married right out of high school.

Obviously, Kobe didn't listen and his parents didn't show up 2 his wedding as a result. Had Kobe listened 2 his parent's he probably would have had an iron clad prenup in place, just in case divorce happened in the future. I wonder if Kobe has any regrets about marrying Vanessa?

Honestly, I think Vanessa Bryant walked away with 2 much money. $75 million dollars and 3 mansions! Come on! What is she going 2 do with 3 mansions -- split them up between her relatives? Why does it take $75 million dollars to raise 2 children? Obviously, Kobe will continue to take care of his children regardless of what his ex-wife does 4 them, so was it really necessary 2 take him 4 so much money?

When singer/actress Christina Milian divorced her producer husband, "The Dream", Milian was humble while only asking 4 $1 million dollars 4 each year they were married; and like Vanessa Bryant, Milian divorced her husband due 2 infidelity. They were married 4 years and Milian received $4 million dollars from "The Dream". I felt this was a reasonable solution.

So should Vanessa Bryant have only received $10 million dollars for being married 2 Kobe 4 10 years? YES!

Whether Kobe cheated multiple times on Vanessa or not, she shouldn't become vindictive 2 the point that he feels he needs 2 give her half of everything in order 2 keep her mouth shut. There should always be a mutual respect and cordialness between 1 another, especially since they have 2 children who are now witnessing their parents splitting up.

I wish both parties well as they move on in their personal lives.

Etta James had been suffering from dementia and kidney problems, and was battling leukemia. In December 2011, her physician announced that her leukemia was terminal, and asked 4 prayers 4 the singer.

The 73 year old rhythm and blues singer broke racial boundaries with her extraordinary talent. The color of her skin didn't matter, but it was her raw and passionate singing ability that caught people's attention.

"Etta James was a pioneer. Her ever-changing sound has influenced rock and roll, rhythm and blues, pop, soul and jazz artists, marking her place as one of the most important female artists of our time," said Rock and Roll Hall of Fame President and CEO Terry Stewart.

Upon hearing of her death, Beyonce released a statement on her website that read: "This is a huge loss. Etta James was one of the greatest vocalists of our time. I am so fortunate to have met such a queen. Her musical contributions will last a lifetime. Playing Etta James taught me so much about myself, and singing her music inspired me to be a stronger artist. When she effortlessly opened her mouth, you could hear her pain and triumph. Her deeply emotional way of delivering a song told her story with no filter. She was fearless, and had guts. She will be missed."

Beyonce also played the late great star in a film titled, "Cadillac Records", in which she sung Etta James songs with emotion, power and soul.

James was inducted in 2 the Rock Hall in 1993, captured a Grammy in 2003 for best contemporary blues album 4 "Let's Roll"; 1 in 2004 for best traditional blues album 4 "Blues to the Bone"; and 1 for best jazz vocal performance for 1994's "Mystery Lady: Songs of Billie Holiday." She was also awarded a special Grammy in 2003 for lifetime achievement and received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

KrIs HuMpHrIeS nOt LEtTiNg FuTuRe Ex-WiFe OfF sO EaSiLy

Professional Basketball player, Kris Humphries (seen right) who married reality star, Kim Kardashian (seen left) just this past August, isn't letting Kim have her cake and eat it too. Kris Humphries stated that he doesn't want the divorcee title, but instead would rather have an annulment; an annulment is a legal procedure 4 declaring a marriage null and void. An annulled marriage is considered 2 be invalid from the beginning almost as if it had never taken place.

Humphries commented that he believes in the sanctity of marriage and doesn't believe in divorce at all. If a California judge grants an annulment, then the couple's private prenuptial agreement will be null and void, thereby releasing Humphries 2 tell his side of the story. I'm sure Kardashian fans can't wait 2 hear what Humphries has 2 say about the Elizabeth Taylor wanna-be. But if the judge doesn't grant an annulment Kris Humphries has stated he will seek an indefinite legal separation, because he'd rather be linked to Kim 4ever then have the divorcee title! Wow!

This doesn't sound 2 good 4 Kim because she could never legally marry again unless Kris cuts ties. But I guess this is Kris' way of saying 2 Kim 'now the joke is on you'.

ThE vMa'S 2011 hAd A lOt BrEwInG iN tHe PoT tHiS yEaR!

Among the many faces that stood out at the VMA 2011 awards (Video Music Awards), Beyonce's face seemed 2 stick out the most. Or maybe it was just her belly! Beyoncé (above) and hubby Jay-Z are having a baby! This news has been much anticipated 4 years now! Congrats 2 the elated couple!

The performances I most enjoyed:

1)  Beyoncé delivered an exhilarating performance! Hitting every note on key and still partaking in a little booty shaking. I was nervous 4 her the whole time in those heels. You know they say in pregnant women their equilibrium is usually off so I was hoping she wouldn't hurt herself.

2) You always expect Lady Gaga 2 come out with an original outfit every time and this night she definitely did. Her performance was the true work of an artist. She is very talented.

3) Adele's voice was angelic and strong. I love listening 2 her sing and even though she doesn't move around on stage a lot, you still feel her obvious passion and emotion with every verse.

4) I enjoyed watching Kanye West and Jay-Z's incredible energy on the stage. Especially with them sampling 1 of my favorite Otis Redding songs!

5) Last but not least, I enjoyed watching the little kids perform 4 Britney Spears', Michael Jackson Vanguard award moment. I had 4gotten the many songs Britney sang over the years and I thoroughly enjoyed being reminded of them. Britney is an excellent performer who gives 100% 2 her craft. I'm glad 2 see her back on the right track.

BUT! We do have 2 give it up 4 rapper Nicki Minaj (above) who took home the moon man award 4 'Best Hip Hop Video'! Minaj went on 2 say this after winning:

"Oh my god!" Minaj screamed. "Southside Jamaica, Queens, underground female rapper, Young Money, Cash Money ... I want to thank God. I want to thank my family. I want to thank Sanaa [Hamri] for directing an amazing video.


"And the Barbz. I love you, Barbz. I love you so much. And MTV, I thank you."

In the category 4 'Best Hip Hop Video' Nicki Minaj won over, Chris Brown's "Look at Me Now" (featuring Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes), Kanye West's "All of the Lights" (featuring Rihanna and Kid Cudi), Lil Wayne's "6 Foot, 7 Foot" and Lupe Fiasco's "The Show Goes On."

Actor Russell Brand delivered a heartfelt tribute 2 singer Amy Winehouse (above), and spoke of her in such a way that you knew he personally related 2 what she had gone through. He sincerely felt the young singer's pain and at the same time praised her artistry, and compared her 'old soul' voice 2 the likes of Blues singers, Billy Holiday and Etta James. This is an enormous compliment, and Amy Winehouse will go down in history being uniquely known 4 her bluesy, jazzy, soulful voice. R.I.P AW.

Overall, the VMA's were exciting this year! I did miss Alicia Keys and Pink (both of whom recently had babies! Congrats guys!) but maybe they'll make a cameo next year.

'The Help' CoTiNuEs 2 RaCk In MiLlIoNs!

While going 2 the movie theater 2 see 'The Help' the most talked about film since its debut August 10th, I felt in the back of my mind that I was already familiar with the movie even though I hadn't seen it. I figured it would be like the 'Rosa Parks' story or another civil rights film that always brings us back to some of the most horrible days in American history.

4 the most part I was correct with the concept of the film. However, implementing a strong-minded, young, Caucasian writer 2 give voice 2 the voiceless African American maids in the deep South of Jackson, Mississippi, was definitely a great way 2 shake things up and cause a little.....okay, maybe cause A LOT of drama.

In the 1960's, the state of Mississippi was 1 state you absolutely didn't want 2 visit or live in if you were Black. Now of course you can't change the color of your skin, but during this period of time, African Americans were being treated as if they should have been able 2 change their skin color and because they couldn't, they were treated like 2nd class citizens and worse than dogs. Things haven't changed much in Jackson, Mississippi, with the latest news just this month about a hate crime against an African American man named, James Craig Anderson murdered by the hands of a young, Caucasian teenager named, Deryl Dedmon.

Honestly, listening 2 those maids tell that young writer EXACTLY how they felt; it felt like a release 4 me. Which actually surprised me but then I realized I was equating my personal experiences of racism and discrimination 2 those maids personal stories. When the maids expressed their anger and rage of how their employers treated them, it felt like I was venting my rage against those employers that discriminated against myself as well. It felt good.

All in all, 'The Help' starring Emma Stone (Skeeter), Viola Davis (Abilene), and Octavia Spencer (Minny), was funny, emotional, deep and really painted a vivid picture of what it was like 4 African Americans during the 1960's in the South. This is a film I would see again and when it comes out on DVD it will find a place on my movie shelf next 2 the other classics.

Another great Motown legend passes the torch. I remember growing up in a home that played Ashford & Simpson music faithfully! Who can 4get such amazing songs as: "Is it still good 2 you" and "Solid as a rock". Ashford & Simpson were 1 African-American group that broke the mold back in the day when being Black was harder then making a record.

I will always take my hat off 2 such great artist's as this. Ashford we love you and your music will 4ever live in us.

Bethenny Frankel (below) is reportedly being sued by her ex-managers 4 $12 million dollars (10% of Frankel's earnings) and $100 million dollars in punitive damages. President Doug Wald of Los Angeles-based Raw Talent, alleges he met Frankel in 2008 when Frankel aired on 'The Real Housewives of New York'. Wald stated that Frankel asked him 2 help her land an unscripted reality series. Wald introduced Frankel 2 some agents at APA, a company that specializes in reality tv stars.

Wald says he then helped Frankel hook up with liquor industry veteran David Kanbar, who put together a business plan 4 a company that would buy the brand, use Frankel's celebrity 2 help market it, and sell it in 2 years 4 a hefty profit.

Well, Frankel was successful in her endeavours and was offered $120 million dollars 4 her 'Skinnygirl' empire. And even though Frankel fired Wald in November 2008 days before signing her deal 2 develop and market 'Skinnygirl, Wald still feels that he is entitled 2 Ms. Frankel's fortune.

It seems as if Mr. Walden is sour about the great fortune that Bethenny has had. Instead of being happy 4 her, he'd rather sue her 4 a piece of the pie. How did Mr. Walden know that Ms. Frankel wouldn't have given him a piece of the pie just 4 him helping her earlier on in the process? He didn't even give her a chance 2 make an offer 2 him. Mr. Wald isn't just trying 2 get his 10% off the top, he's trying 2 take her straight 2 the cleaners!

I don't think it's fair of Mr. Wald 2 try and take everything. She fired him almost 4 years ago and the product is HER idea not his, and she's been handling her business thus far without him.

Bethenny said in her reality show recently that she was scared 2 receive that much money, because with more money comes more problems. Well Bethenny you sure called it right this time. I wish you all the luck in the world and I hope you beat Mr. Wald in court.

Bristol Palin's corrective jaw surgery has been causing media medness. Everyone speculated plastic surgery almost immediately, but Palin put those rumors 2 rest when she commented, "I wouldn't get plastic surgery unless I got in an accident or something terrible and got disfigured."

When asked about her new look Palin says, "I look older, more mature and don't have as much of a chubby little baby face," she told a magazine. Yes she is correct. She definitely looks more mature. But what's wrong with looking young? Most people have plastic surgery chasing the dream of looking youthful again. But 4 Palin it's the complete opposite! She'd rather look older while she's young. So when she gets older will she do a corrective jaw reverse to look younger again? I thought Bristol looked youthful, sweet and cute before. Now I feel she looks 2 old 2 soon. I just don't get it.

I wonder if this new look has anything 2 do with Palin's new untitled reality show, set 2 air the end of the year 4 the Bio Channel. Palin has also signed with William Morrow 2 publish "Not Afraid of Life," coming out this summer. Morrow, an imprint of HarperCollins, has said the memoir would provide "an inside look at her life."

4 PETA's new ad campaign set 2 launch next month during NYC's Fashion Week, actress Taraji P. Henson stated she'd rather go naked than wear fur.

The 40 year old said, "Before I saw that documentary, I would wear fur. But I saw this documentary, and I was riveted. I cried. Could you imagine somebody ripping your hair out, while you're still awake, fully conscious? It's ridiculous, for the sake of fashion."

I'm sure PETA appreciates Ms. Henson's contribution 2 their project. Almost as much as men and women all over the world drooling over this photo right now! Ha!

Anivia Cruz-Dilworth (r), a plus size high fashion model 4 Wilhemina and Click modeling agencies, has been indicted on charges of practicing cosmetic medicine without a license. Apparently, 6 women went 2 her for buttocks-enhancement injections and were told by Cruz-Dilworth that she was a trained professional. Instead of receiving a fuller posterior, the 6 females between the ages of 20 and 30 were sent 2 the hospital before their 2nd treatment could occur.

Cruz-Dilworth injected the 6 women with what she described as hydro-gel, a solid jelly-like material thought 2 be similar 2 bathtub caulk, said Essex County Assistant Prosecutor Peter Sepulveda. Cruz used a syringe, marked the women, then injected them while using Krazy glue to seal the punctures. The effects of the injections were so serious that 1 woman had 2 undergo 5 separate hospitalizations and multiple surgeries. Cruz-Dilworth charged anywhere from $650 to $1,250 for the injections. The 5 foot 10 beauty now faces 3-5 years in prison.

On her Facebook page, Cruz-Dilworth says she graduated from West Orange High School and Montclair State University, and owns the "It’s Anivia" cosmetics and skin care line. The company’s website says the line has not yet launched.

From LA's perspective: I personally met and got 2 know Anivia Cruz when we both attended Kean University, b 4 she had the Dilworth on her last name. She has modeled on the daytime talk show "The View" as well as in "Essence" magazine because I personally saw her. From what I know of Anivia she was always very sweet, very kind, very creative but somewhat troubled from her past. She has always been on the straight and narrow, and 4 some reason I can not believe that she would do this on her own. I believe Anivia had someone directing her, and all this probably ties in 2 whoever she's doing business with 4 her skin care line. Anivia has always been a target 4 people and mostly out of pure jealousy because of her beauty. She has had people attack her and pick on her simply because of her looks.

I'm not justifying the fact that she did what she did, but she has a clean life and no criminal record at all. So I only hope and pray that a thorough investigation is done on her behalf, as I do not believe she acted alone.

OMG! I watched the Ellen show recently and country singer, Kellie Pickler was 1 of the guests 4 the day. I had 4gotten all about KP because she isn't a main artist in the limelight. After watching her on Ellen, I feel she is 4 sure a person that needs 2 be in the limelight! She's so animated and keeps your constant attention with her bubbly personality and girl next door charm. She comes across as genuine, sweet and comfortable in her own skin.

It's a true saying that when you shine you allow others 2 shine as well, and I'm sure every 1 in the room was put in a good mood as soon as Ms. Pickler started talking. I love her singing and her southern accent, do I see reality show somewhere in the future???

Okay. Justin Bieber who??? Check out Will and Jada Smith's music prodigy, daughter Willow Smith. The song is cute 4 a 9 year old girl. The beat is hot giving you just enough tempo, bass and beat building, that's sure 2 make you curl your lips up and rock your head back and forth 2 the hardcore, urban and gritty tune. The girl can sing and rap! She sort of reminds me of a lil Rihanna.

But seriously this is Will and Jada's child. Did you really expect anything less? Her Superstar dad can write her rhymes if he wanted 2 but I'm sure he doesn't, because with parents like that it's all about letting their children express themselves. What's next? Record label and distribution? A funky new dance 2 go with the song? Or an Oprah Winfrey talk show takeover?! Who knows! But whatever is 2 come the Smith's can definitely afford it, and their squeaky clean name brand is sure 2 be catapulted in 2 space by their rising star children.
